Here at BPCS, we provide a range of injectable treatments to enhance your natural features and reduce the signs of ageing. We use anti-wrinkle injections to relax the facial muscles and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as dermal fillers to plump the skin and restore or add volume to create your desired facial profile. Injectables are administered either personally by Dr. Richardson, or by our highly qualified cosmetic injectors; Leah and Keren.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections consist of purified protein that temporarily blocks the signals to your facial muscles to reduce movement, resulting in the reduction or removal of existing wrinkles. The procedure can be performed in less than 15 minutes, with zero downtime.

How many units do I need?

The number of units required is subjective to the treatment area, as well as the prominence of existing lines and wrinkles. The suitable number will be determined through consultation with our lovely nurses at your scheduled appointment.

What areas can be treated?

The most common treatment areas for men and women are the crow’s feet, worry lines, and forehead creases. The bunny lines, lip and mouth lines, the chin, jawline, and neck are also treatable areas.

How long does it last?

Anti-wrinkle injections generally last from 3-6 months, depending on the treatment area.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers work to ‘plump’ the skin and effectively fill in lines, wrinkles, and depressions. Fillers can also be used to enhance both the upper and lower lip and to add fullness to the contours of the face.

Lips & Upper Lip Lines

Dermal fillers can be used to enhance the shape of the natural lips by restoring symmetry, defining the borders, and adding volume. Subtle and natural changes to the shape and size of the lips can enhance and flatter your natural features. The most common amount administered is 1ml. Lip filler generally lasts about 6 months, often longer before a top-up is required. Minimal bruising and swelling may be experienced in the days following the procedure, which will subside usually within a week.

Cheeks

Cheek fillers can restore or create fullness in the cheeks and highlight the cheekbones to enhance youthfulness and symmetry. There is no downtime, though you may experience slight soreness or tenderness in the initial days following the procedure. Cheek filler typically last between 1-2 years depending on your individual circumstances.

Naso-labial Folds

The lines from the nostrils to the corners of the mouth can be treated using dermal filler to maintain youthfulness. In conjunction with cheek filler, this procedure can significantly improve the signs of ageing such as sagging and loss of fine lines. Redness and swelling are to be expected, and possible minimal bruising near the site of injection. 1ml of dermal filler to the naso-labial folds should be reviewed at 6 months, and then yearly.

Marionette Lines

The lines tracing from the mouth to the jawline, also known as the Marionette lines, can be treated with dermal filler to disguise their prominence and restore youthfulness. A typical treatment to the marionette lines will be 1ml, and this treatment is often performed in conjunction with other treatment areas to achieve the best results. Swelling is usually experienced for the 2-3 days following the procedure. The fillers should be reviewed at 6 months to determine their longevity.

Chin

A typical treatment session with a member of our injecting team will take from 30 minutes to one hour with instantaneous results. Redness, swelling, and itching are normal reactions and typically disappear within a few days. Results of anti-wrinkle inject ions at our Brisbane, Queensland plastic surgery practice can last for up to four months whil

st dermal fillers can last for up to one year, depending on the treatment. After the rejuvenating results of the injections fade, treatment can safely be repeated if desired.

Dermal Rolling

The dermal rolling treatment utilises a device that creates thousands of small punctures in the skin to promote regeneration and healing, forcing the production of new skin cells and collagen. This can effectively reduce pigmentation and sun damage, restore youthfulness through collagen production, reduce the appearance of unwanted stretch marks, and flatten and fade the appearance of scars such as those from Caesarean births and breast augmentations.
